Melt margarine in microwave for about 10 seconds so it is very soft but not runny. Add the sugar to the margarine and then beat until white and fluffy. Add each of the eggs individually and beat again. Then add the combined baking powder and flour by sieving it into the mixture and then folding it in.
Once the flour is all gone spoon the mixture into paper cases and put them on a baking tray. Put them in the oven at 360 degrees (180c or gas mark 4) for 15 mins
Whip the vegetable fat and the icing sugar together, when it is light a fluffy add a little warm water slowly until you get correct consistency. Add any food colouring/flavouring as you like, then pipe onto the cakes and add decorations.
